2019 Visit to the Isle of Wight - June 28th to July 2nd

Places we shall visit include:

Osbourne House, Carisbrooke Castle where Charles 1 was incarcerated, the homes of Julia Margaret Cameron, pioneering Victorian photographer and Alfred, Lord Tennyson and the Roman villa at Brading. 

The coach will pick us on Friday 28th from Uckfield and Lewes. We will be based at the Trouville Hotel in Sandown on a half board basis.

 Art Talks at Bradness Gallery, near Barcombe

The Gallery if running a series of Art Talks over the winter on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30.

Fresh coffee, teas, home made cakes and wine will be served and after the meetings to give you a chance to chat.

Those of you who visited the Gallery on Wednesday 30th May, will recall our very successful visit to the gallery which included a walk around their lovely garden, coffee and cakes and an interesting talk about their work. Michael Cruickshank is a landscape painter and he has a number of his paintings for sale in the gallery. He does 2 day landscape painting courses for beginners or 3 day courses for more experienced painters. His partner, Emma Burnett paints lampshades and flowers and also exhibits her work.  The garden and gallery is open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holiday Mondays.
